Roger has over 20 years’ experience in General Management roles in the UK and New Zealand, specializing in media, advertising and branding. Having recently left his position as Chief Operating Officer at Postr Ltd., he is now the Founding Partner at Media Tech Ltd.
Roger believes in smarter working teams by keeping processes simple, and employing a creative approach.
Kristen is currently an Independent Director on the board of Mercer New Zealand. Prior to Mercer, she has sat on a number of boards including Chair of the Ngai Tahu Whai Rawa Fund Limited (Whai Rawa Board) where one of her biggest achievements meant that Whai Rawa became the only iwi owned managed investment scheme in the world.
Stefan has 16 years of experience as a turn-around CEO, leading companies up to $600M revenue, as well as being an entrepreneur with five companies. He is now owner and CEO of Ingenio, a company that provides business innovation consulting and also "walks its talk" by running its own group of growth companies.
Stefan likes to take a fresh approach to business combining strong analytical thinking with creative and collaborative thinking processes.
A Founding Partner at Media Tech Ltd, James has sat on the board of numerous media investment & finance companies including Spalk, and Postr, Transpacific Talent, as well as Weirdly. James holds a diverse, international background in direct marketing, television, media, and film production.
Software Developer, Datacom
Jason’s a software developer working at Datacom. Jason’s passionate about helping others and how technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning can be used to improve the lives of others. He’s quite active in the student space, helping tertiary students get a foot in the door in the IT industry and kickstarting student’s careers through the Microsoft Student Accelerator programme. He also run the Xamarin ALK meetup and is involved with the Wynyard Innovation Neighbourhood CoLab. Jason was a tech mentor at the recent NZTA Save One More Life hackathon.
Business Development Manager, Datacom
With over 8 years’ experience across the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Rowland has helped a range of both private and public sector clients understand, design, implement and support a range of “Workplace Productivity” solutions that help organisations achieve their Digital Workplace and deliver upon their digital strategies.
Senior Experience Designer, Datacom
With 10 years UI/UX experience and extensive knowledge about digital landscape, Masa strives to create intuitive and beautiful user experiences from concept to implementation. She is at the forefront of new technologies in interface design and front end development, across multiple platforms.
Principal Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services
With over 20 years IT experience, Johnathan has had extensive global cloud service provider, vendor and systems integrator experience. Having worked in over 23 countries covering Asia, Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand and directly participated in development and launch of products and services in over 10 countries.
Richard’s strengths lie in aligning IT with organisational strategy with a well-balanced background of People Leadership, Business Strategy, IT Project Management, Technology Strategy and Commercial Operations Management experience. Richard’s most recent achievements including being awarded CIO of the year at the CIO Summit in 2017 after transforming NZTE’s ICT function across 53 global locations.
Technical Evangelist, Microsoft
Assists Microsoft partners in transforming their customers’ experience using a host of new data and machine learning tools, pre-build models and services to create the next generation of intelligent apps. building prototypes and MVP solutions to help customers quickly visualise and validate ideas.
Concept Designer, Datacom
Bryan has worked with design in the tech industry since 1993. His speciality lies in UI digital design, and passion lies in creating day-to-day creative and functional experiences. Bryan is strong in visual brand identity, wireframe prototyping and taking you on the UI/UX journey. He’s often found in a rapid prototyping and think smash gigs, bringing concepts to life. Bryan has also been a design mentor at multiple hackathons including the annual hackathon at Datacom.
Business Manager, Datacom
Adam is a Software Business Manager in Wellington, New Zealand. He has spent time in Wellington, London and Melbourne building software and drinking coffee. He loves finding simple ways to solve complex problems. Adam believes we are on the precipice of a step change in software development where internet connected devices and cloud computing are revolutionising the way we do business.
Founder and Chief Unicorn, Savvy Millennial
Savannah works with authors, start-ups and companies, developing go-to-market strategies and building communities. She thrives on product development and launch journey and is a super-connector of people, resources and audiences. Prior to Savvy Millennial, Savannah was the Director of Innovation Strategy at Massive Labs & Speck Design where she helped create new consumer electronics. Savannah was the Director of Global Community at Shapeways, the world's largest 3D Printing community.
Associate Director, Transformation & Innovation
Kerry has been working in the Technology industry for almost 20 years covering such diverse roles of project management, programme directorship, consulting and general management. Kerry’s role is to help businesses to take on new ways of working and uncover new, innovative opportunities for local and global growth. He has been instrumental in the delivery of Datacom’s seven internal innovation event, Datacomp, over a six year period. In addition to this, Kerry has helped navigate successful Hackathons for customers including ASB in 2014 & 2017, Livestock Improvement Corporation in 2016, two for Genesis Energy in 2017, one for Nelson region in 2017 and most recently, New Zealand Transport Agency’s ‘Save One More Life’ in 2018.
Digital Producer, Datacom
Sammi has hacked in as well as led multiple innovation events, including the recent NZTA ‘Save One More Life’. She’s an ex Microsoft Student Partner, running NZ’s Accelerator Programme alongside an awesome team, and was a finalist in two Microsoft Imagine Cup competitions. She’s passionate re diversity in the tech industry and has spoken at events in the Auckland Town Hall and the GridAKL. She has a background in tech as a software developer and digital delivery. She’s currently running an imports e-commerce as a side gig, a lead within the Wynyard Innovation Neighbourhood CoLab, and is one of the digital producers (PM, BA, Strategy) in the Mobile Innovation business at Datacom.
Solution Architect, Datacom
David worked for many years in technical roles in Investment Banking before founding a number of Start-ups. Currently a Solution Architect at Datacom by day and by night developing and running a couple of Start-ups. One start-up with a specific application of Blockchain technology and another in the AR/AI space. David has a passion for developing & applying innovative technology, creating & maintaining Open Data, and achieving positive community and environmental outcomes.
